1. How to extend the lifespan of gloves? 🧼

Proper care significantly extends the life of any glove. Remember these three steps:

Before use: Pre-wash the gloves to remove preservatives and activate the latex.

During use: Dampen the palms with water to improve grip and durability.

After use: Wash the gloves with detergent and allow to dry naturally (not on a radiator!).

 

2. Which "cut" is suitable for my child? ✂️

The cut refers to the way the glove is stitched. It affects the fit and ball feel.

Negative: Tight, "second skin" fit.

Flat Cut: Spacious and roomy palm.

Hybrid: Combines the best features of different styles.

 

3. Guide to Latex – Grip vs. Durability 🧤

Latex is the palm material of the glove, responsible for shock absorption and grip.

Match Gloves: Best grip, but softer and more prone to wear.

Training Gloves: More durable latex, which withstands heavy wear and tear and sand pitches better.

Tip: For a beginner junior, a more affordable and durable latex is often the most sensible choice while technique is still developing.

 

4. Choosing the Right Size (2–11) 📏

Goalkeeper glove sizes are numbered from 2–11. While sizes are mostly standard, different cuts may feel different on the hand.

Indicative size guide:

Sizes 2–5: For small children and beginner juniors (approx. 5–9 years).

Sizes 6–7: For older juniors (9–12 years) or very slender hands.

Sizes 8–9: Juniors and average-sized adults.

Sizes 10–11: Large-handed adults.
